Ed and Clara's 50th Anniversary

August 21st, 2010

Heading to Uncle Ed and Aunt Clara's 50th anniversary party we decided to go around the south end across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

It looks like autumn over there on the other side of the sound.

We got there a little early so we drove around checking out the sights on the island. Fortunately the flag tells us we didn't drive as far as Saudi Arabia.

We were greeted by Curtis...

... and Madeline, Brenda's younguns.

I'm hoping Madeline helped with this.

Clara's sister Myra and husband.

And their son (I think), on keyboards.

The happy couple.

Melissa.

I 'spect somebody knows who these people are.

Someone from the church, I believe.

The front yard is in the back here.

The shed in the neighbor's yard.

A couple of zeros coming into Pearl Harbor, I think.

I don't recommend building sand castles right here.

Pretty flowers.

Glorious in the morning.

Some Dahlias.

The neighbor's house looks like a good one for Trick-or-Treaters.

Diane in the blue and Connie are some ladies from the church who were insistant on getting everyone's names and relations down. Darlene gets them thoroughly confused with some story about twin sisters and nieces.

Kids will be kids...

Brenda.

Wendy and Darlene.

It looks like Wendy's husband Doug is hen-pecked, but the camera just caught Wendy at a bad momement.

I think...

Brenda's eldest, Katelyn.

Diane (in the blue with Connie above) supplied the flowers.

My son-in-law, Nash.

Brenda's husband Mark grilled the salmon -- but don't tell his mother-in-law that he poked it with his finger to see if it was done.

We took the ferry home...

... and so did the seagulls.

Seattle's skyline.

I can remember back when the Smith Tower was the tallest building in Seattle.
